Internal Anatomy: Bluegill.

The body shape of this Bluegill varies significantly from that of the Rainbow Trout. However, reguardless of the species or body shape, the visceral cavity generally extends from the pectoral region to just anterior of the vent ( or insertion of the anal fin).

Note that the Bluegill has Multiple 0.5- 1.0mm white spots covering the heart and liver. These are cysts of dignetic trematodes. On a scale of 1 to 5, this parasite infection rankes 4 in the heart and 5 in the liver.
